Lou Fiore's Story

How Nicamisol made my life easier in Playa El Remanso

Hi! Can you tell us about you and your system?

Good morning Jan! My name is Lou Fiore and I had the wonderful system installed in January of 2022.

What has changed for you during these 2 years?

The biggest thing that’s changed, by far, is reliability on electrical power, that was my primary motivator to get the system. I’m green conscious so I’m pleased to use solar power. Now we are prepared against the frequent power outages here at Remanso Beach. Some outages last for a couple of days – but most just for an hour or two.

Before the system, life was uncomfortable every time the power went out because we relied on electricity to obtain water and clean the pool. Also, it was difficult to rent because we couldn’t promise continuous electric power.

What did you like about working with Nicamisol?

One aspect I particularly appreciated about their service was their commitment to educating me about solar power. They took the time to explain why it was a beneficial choice, how it worked, and why it was a sound investment. This not only made me feel more informed but also confident in my decision.

They explained how the system pays for itself over a period of years, from eight to twelve years, depending on optimal maintenance and how much sun exposure you get.

They sized the system appropriately for the house and kept it simple and efficient. After the installation, I had a number of problems, most of them caused by the surrounding electric infrastructure. The system was generating alerts, so I emailed the team, citing the problem.

How were those initial issues fixed?

By improving the house’s electrical infrastructure, wiring, and grounding, we fixed the problems and stopped the alerts.
I consulted with Nicamisol about getting one extra battery, and they looked at the data in real-time, which was fabulous. We decided to add the battery, and now my wife and I can make it through the night without any need for grid electricity.

When the house is loaded with guests, we use the grid for only a few hours a day. If there is a power outage in the area, we can manage it, and I can explain that to clients.

The professional service Nicamisol delivers and its availability makes all that possible. If you live in Nicaragua, you know not many things work that way, and these guys know what they are doing.
